What maintenance can be done for explosion-proof air conditioners to prevent performance decline? As we all know, explosion-proof air conditioners are not ordinary air conditioning products, but a type of explosion-proof electrical equipment used in specific industries. The working environment of explosion-proof air conditioners can be categorized into high temperature, low temperature, ultra-high temperature, and ultra-low temperature. Explosion-proof air conditioners are mainly used for cooling and heating in flammable and explosive environments such as petroleum, chemical industries, military, oil depots, and offshore oil platforms. The appearance and usage of explosion-proof air conditioners are not significantly different from ordinary air conditioners. However, to prevent the performance decline of explosion-proof air conditioners and ensure a longer service life during long-term use, regular maintenance of explosion-proof air conditioners becomes very important. So, what do we need to do?
What maintenance can be done to prevent performance decline in explosion-proof air conditioners?
It is well known that explosion-proof air conditioners are not ordinary air conditioning products, but a type of explosion-proof electrical product used in specific industries. The working environment of explosion-proof air conditioners is also categorized into high temperature, low temperature, ultra-high temperature, ultra-low temperature, etc. Explosion-proof air conditioners are mainly used for cooling and heating in flammable and explosive environments such as petroleum, chemical, oil depots, and offshore oil platforms. The appearance and usage of explosion-proof air conditioners are not significantly different from ordinary air conditioners. However, to prevent the performance decline of explosion-proof air conditioners and ensure a longer service life during long-term use, regular maintenance of explosion-proof air conditioners becomes very important. So what do we need to do?
1. Regular cleaning of the air filter. Generally, after using for 2 to 3 weeks, the air filter needs to be cleaned once. During cleaning, pull the handle of the filter to remove it from the panel, use a vacuum cleaner to suck out the dust from the filter mesh, and then wash it with clean water below 40°C. If there are oily substances, it can be cleaned in soapy water or neutral detergent solution, and then rinsed with clean water, ensuring it is completely dry before reinstalling it on the explosion-proof air conditioner. Clean the panel and casing. Regularly wipe off dust and dirt from the panel and casing with a soft cloth. If it is too dirty, you can use a soft cloth dipped in soapy water or wipe with warm water below 45°C, and then dry it with a soft cloth. Avoid using gasoline, kerosene, or chemical agents for cleaning.
2. Regular cleaning of dust from the condenser fins. To prevent excessive dust accumulation on the air conditioner condenser, which affects the heat exchange capability of the explosion-proof air conditioner, it is best to clean the condenser fins with a vacuum cleaner or portable blower about once a month to facilitate heat dissipation. For explosion-proof heat pump air conditioners, during snowy days in winter, snow accumulation around the unit should be promptly cleared to avoid affecting its working efficiency. When the air conditioner is not used for more than a month, it should be ventilated alone for about 2 hours in dry weather before stopping, to dry the inside of the air conditioner. Then unplug the power supply of the air conditioner.
